Starting out

If you're an early career teacher, have limited experience teaching primary computing or are completely new to the subject, we have a range of resources and courses to help you confidently deliver the curriculum.

Curriculum support

The Teach Computing Curriculum contains everything you need to teach computing in your classroom, including lesson plans, slides, activity sheets, homework, and assessment. Each key stage has a teacher guide and curriculum map to help you get started.

All of the content is free for you to use and can be easily adapted to meet the needs of your learners.

Our Getting started using the Teach Computing Curriculum short courses will support you teach the content and skills required for your year group.

Barefoot Computing also offers a lot of great cross-curricular computing lesson resources that make computing easy to teach and fun to learn, with or without a computer. You can invite a Barefoot volunteer to run an introductory workshop in your school.
