Secondary CPD tailored to teachers’ development needs and goals
28 April 2023
To support secondary computer science teachers’ professional development needs, we have put together lists of our quality assured courses under specific themes. This way teachers can choose what CPD to attend next to achieve their specific knowledge goals. The CPD provides a combination of face-to-face, remote and online short courses, making it easy for teachers to browse, choose and make a booking through our website.
There are three themes under which we have gathered relevant courses to help you advance your knowledge and experience of teaching GCSE and A level computer science.
1. Supporting other teachers
Gain knowledge and skills to better support your colleagues through mentoring, collaborative working and sharing expertise. You will also learn how to support non-specialists in your school or college to deliver computer science to young people.

Participation in CPD helps you to achieve the secondary computing certificate. Following a full day of CPD, or a combination of 6 hours of short courses, is the benchmark to demonstrate your commitment to professional learning and the subject of computing.
