New online support for A level Computer Science teachers and students

21 April 2020

The Isaac Computer Science team has been working hard to make sure that you have everything that you need to teach or learn A level Computer Science from home.

We are pleased to announce that we have launched a set of new topics, and a new series of free online events for teachers and students, to provide you with extra support.

New A level Computer Science topics

We have just released nine new topics on the Isaac Computer Science platform. This means that you can now access high-quality online materials to cover every topic in the AQA and OCR A level Computer Science specifications.

The platform also includes hundreds of auto-marking questions. If you’re a student, these questions allow you to test your knowledge and receive tailored feedback instantly. If you’re a teacher, you can use the questions in your teaching, and you can use the teacher tools to set specific questions for your students and track their progress.

Live sessions will now be delivered online for both teachers and students.

We have launched a new series of live teacher training and student workshop events. These will be run online by our in-house education team and other experienced Computer Science teachers.

  • Different events are available for teachers and students
  • There will be two events a week
  • Events will typically last one hour

We’re running a number of live student events that will allow them to explore lots of different A level topics. These sessions can be easily slotted into your remote teaching schedule; encourage your students to sign up! We’re also running live teacher training sessions that will focus on a variety of relevant A level concepts.
